The present Law shall define the place and the role of the Kyrgyz Republic of internal affairs bodies in the system of executive power of the Kyrgyz Republic, it shall set up main tasks, rights and responsibility, guarantees of legal and social security, the order of their financing and materials and technical support.
Section I
General Provisions
Article 1. Internal Affairs Bodies in the Kyrgyz Republic
The internal affairs bodies in the Kyrgyz Republic are the state armed law-enforcement body, performing executive-administration functions on provision of public order, bodily security and society and crime control.
The unified system of internal affairs bodies comprises the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, subordinated to it departments of internal affairs of regions and Bishkek city, subdivisions in transport, city, regional, city district, village subdivisions of internal affairs bodies, as well as specific and secure units, educational establishment, institutions and organizations.
The internal affairs bodies’ structure and Regulations on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic shall be approved by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic at the suggestion of Prime-Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic.
