ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COOPERATION IN COMBATING GLOBAL WARMING

Le Gouvernement de la République française, d'une part,

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the other,

Ci-après dénommés les « Parties »,

Hereinafter referred to as the «Parties»,

Considérant:

Considering:

 і. Les liens traditionnels d'amitié et bonnes relations entre la République française et la République du Kazakhstan, concrétisés par divers accords et déclarations bilatéraux;

 і. The traditional ties of friendship and good relations between the French Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, embodied in various bilateral agreements and declarations;

 ii. Le Traité de partenariat stratégique entre la République française et la République du Kazakhstan du 11 juin 2008 fixant le cadre général du partenariat et de la coopération des Parties dans divers domaines et prévoyant la possibilité pour les Parties de conclure des accords spécifiques, notamment en matière de sécurité énergétique et d’énergies renouvelables;

 ii. The Strategic Partnership Treaty between the French Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan of 11 June 2008, which sets out the general framework for the partnership and cooperation of the Parties in various fields and provides that the Parties may conclude specific agreements, particularly in the field of energy security and renewable energy;

 iii. L’attachement de la République du Kazakhstan et de la République française et leur forte implication en faveur du développement durable, de la protection de l’environnement, de la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique et de la sécurité énergétique;

 iii. The Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Republic's commitment and dedication to sustainable development, environmental protection, energy security and the fight against global warming;
